Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026

This policy explains how Shore Capital Corporation d/b/a Vista Pacific Realty ("Shore Capital", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information in the Shore Capital agent portal at agent.shorecapital.net (the "Portal"). The Portal is used by our real estate agents, loan officers and staff to manage their transactions and the documents for them. The privacy notice for our public website, www.shorecapital.net, is posted on that site.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, phone number, license details and sign-in history.
  • Transaction information: the details you or our staff enter for a transaction (property address, parties, prices, commissions, dates, checklist status, notes and messages).
  • Documents: the files you upload, whether from your device, from Dropbox or from Google Drive.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you open, and security and error logs. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in; we do not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

We use this information to run the Portal: to sign you in, to keep each transaction's file complete, to review and approve documents, to pay commissions, to meet our recordkeeping duties as a licensed real estate broker and mortgage broker, and to keep the Portal secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

The Portal lets you upload a document straight from your Google Drive. This section covers that feature and the data we receive from Google.

  • What we access: when you tap Google Drive, Google asks you to allow access, and then shows you its file picker. We request only the "drive.file" permission, which lets the Portal open only the files you pick. We cannot see, list or open any other file in your Google Drive, and we cannot change or delete anything there.
  • How we use it: the files you pick are copied into the transaction checklist item you are uploading to, exactly as if you had uploaded them from your device. We use them only for that transaction. Google Docs and Sheets are saved as PDF copies.
  • Access token: Google gives your browser a short-lived access token (it expires within about an hour). It stays in your browser's memory only; it is never sent to or stored on our servers.
  • Storage: the copied files are stored with your transaction in our private cloud storage, which is not publicly accessible, and are kept as described under "How long we keep information".
  • Sharing: we do not sell Google user data or transfer it to anyone, except to the service providers that host and store the Portal for us, to the people working on your transaction as their role requires, or when the law requires it.
  • No advertising, no AI training: we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it, or send it to any third party, to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  • Limited Use: Shore Capital's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Removing access: you can remove the Portal's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Files you already uploaded stay with the transaction; see "Your choices" to ask us to delete them.

Dropbox

If you choose Dropbox, Dropbox gives the Portal a link to each file you pick, and our server uses that link once to copy the file into the transaction. We do not receive your Dropbox password or access to any other file.

How we share information

  • With our service providers that host the Portal and store its files, only to provide the Portal to us.
  • With the people working on your transaction, such as the other agents, escrow, title and lenders, as the transaction requires.
  • With regulators, courts or law enforcement when the law requires it, and to protect our rights and the security of the Portal.

How long we keep information

We keep transaction records and their documents for as long as California law requires real estate brokers to keep them, and longer while a transaction, dispute or audit is open. We keep account information while your account is active and for the same period after it closes. Security logs are kept for as long as we need them to protect the Portal.

How we protect information

The Portal is served only over encrypted connections (https). Documents are kept in private storage, and only the people who need them for a transaction, and our staff, can open them. Sign-ins are rate-limited and monitored. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and will tell you if a breach affects it as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, including files you uploaded from Google Drive or Dropbox. We will delete what we are not required by law to keep, and tell you what we must keep and why. To ask, email help@shorecapital.net or call (714) 662-2704. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will ask for your permission again before we use it in the new way.
